Life Story for
Richard A. "Dick" Wright
Richard Anthony Wright, 81, passed away peacefully at home in Boise on September 14, 2017.
He was born October 12, 1935 in Los Angeles, California, the son of Robert and Helen Wright, and graduated from the Fullerton Junior College with a degree in Marketing. He served in the U.S. Navy.
Richard married Melidee Christensen in Las Vegas, Nevada. They had a beautiful marriage and relationship. As long as his wife was with him, he was complete. His love for his wife, Melidee, was endless. Their love story was that of a romantic movie. They were best friends and spent all of their time together.
During his lifetime, he worked as a plumber, owned and operated the Sears store, Wright Appliance, and the Cluttered Kitchen, all in Hailey. He loved adventure and travel, airplanes, sailing, reading, great food, good company, and building model airplanes and boats.
Dick was the most loving, caring and giving husband, father, grandfather and friend his family had the privilege of knowing. He had wonderful, witty charm and always made people laugh. A great father who devoted his life to his family, he will be forever missed. He is survived by his wife Melidee, his daughter Alisa Wright, granddaughter Paige Anderson (Preston Dietrich-McGee), and great-grandson Monte Dietrich-McGee, all of Boise; and sister Judy Pierce (Verby) of Pahrump, Nevada. Preceding him in death were his parents Robert and Helen Wright.
A memorial celebrating his life will be held in the spring at the family home, during the warmer weather that he enjoyed the most!
