Fannie Lucille Whalen
Fannie (Fran) Lucille Whalen, 84, passed away at home in Bellevue on May 23, 2016 from cancer.
Fannie was born June 9, 1931 to Robert Earl Beyer and Melvina L. Mason. She lived in West Virginia and Pennsylvania until moving to California in 1958. She moved to Nevada in 1980 and came to Idaho for a 2 week visit back in 2000 and ended up staying until she passed away. She married Bernard “Skip” Joseph Whalen while living in Pennsylvania.
Fannie was a loving mother of 3, grandmother of 8, great-grandmother of 10 and great-great-grandmother of 1. She enjoyed and could often be found scratching lottery tickets at Guffy’s gas station in Bellevue.
She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Melvina; husband Skip; brothers Kenneth and George Beyler and sister Elsie Earhart. She is survived by her son Dennis (Virginia) Whalen and grandchildren Angie, Catrina, Eric, Joseph, and Michael; daughter Barbara (Bill) Nobles and grandson David; daughter Patty (Chaz) Kalnin and grandchildren Melissa and Adam; sisters Irene Moon, Alice Botti and Audrey Jessup.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, June 17th at Wood River Chapel with son-in-law Bill Nobles officiating. A reception at Dennis and Virginia’s home will follow services.
