Henry Taylor

Henry W. Taylor Jr., born August 24th 1934 to Emily and Henry W. Taylor, in Evanston, IL, passed away at the age of 82 on October 5th 2016 in his West Palm Beach FL home after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Ann Dayton Taylor, his children Lari Jane (Stephen Rumpp) and Henry W. Taylor lll, grandchildren Ian and Isabel Rumpp, his first wife Lari Bowman Ryan and cousin Janet Dalby (Everett Zlatoff-Mirsky).

Henry graduated from Lehigh University in 1956 with a B.S. in Business and obtained an MBA from New York University in 1959. He began his career in corporate advertising and moved into finance.He moved his family to Ketchum Idaho in 1975 where he founded Taylor Hotel Group. Henry had a great passion for technology, art, music, theater, education and travel. He was generous and dynamic in his philanthropic interests and in life. Henry enjoyed serving as Trustee on the boards of Idaho Shakespeare Festival, Florida Stage, F.A.U. Honors College and The O’Neill Theater Center. Upon retirement he returned to a life shared with his beloved New York City, West Palm Beach and traveling. He is greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

A memorial service will be held graveside at Sun Valley Cemetery in Ketchum, Idaho on July 29th at 3:00 pm.
