Life Story for
Patricia Ann Reynolds
Patricia (Patty ) Thomas Reynolds went to be with her Lord and Savior on December 3, 2014 at the age of 56. Patty was born and raised in the Spokane Washington area where she attended Marycliff High School and graduated from Spokane Falls Community College. She came to Ketchum to work for Sun Valley Co. and found the valley to hold the lifestyle of her dreams. She met and married Todd Reynolds and they had one son Josh Reynolds. During this time in her life she actively participated in tennis, skiing, cross-country skiing and horseback riding. She also found a church family of supportive friends and she became part of the music ministry with her amazing singing voice. Todd and Patty later divorced.
Patty spent the last 16 years at Safe Haven (formerly Blaine County Manor) where she was loved and cared for by an extraordinary staff, members of Hospice & Palliative Care of the Wood River Valley and her physician Dr. Kathy Woods. She was blessed to have Jack and Kathie Housden, Cassie Jones and Gail Brady as companions and friends.
Even with the challenges that Patty endured, she showed strength of character and good humor that won admiration from anyone that came into contact with her, especially her care givers. She was always ready for an adventure and loved the trips and activities that the staff from Blaine Manor arranged for her. She looked forward to her weekly trip to the Sagebrush Arena for horseback riding and she had a whole crowd cheering her on as she was assisted in going up Baldy in her wheel chair.
Patty leaves her beloved son Josh Reynolds and his Grandparents Jack and Kathy Housden; her step-mother Lauretta Thomas Strange; her brother Tim (Laurie) Thomas and nieces Aubrey and Brooke. She was preceded in death by her parents Donald and Betty Thomas; brother Greg Thomas; and sister Donna Thomas.
A celebration of her life will be held in late spring.
