Life Story for
Ashley Nicole Prior
Ashley Nicole Prior, born January 7, 1988 in Sun Valley, Idaho, died October 23, 2012. She was raised in Wood River Valley and graduated from Wood River High School in 2006 and then attended Santa Barbara City College and BSU. She is funny, smart and can light up a room with her smile. If you ever spoke with her, she would say “I just want to make sure everyone is happy.” She was never ashamed of the hurdles she faced in life but instead presented them as an opportunity for others to learn, such as she did with her senior project in high school. She created a lesson plan, (which is still used today at University of Idaho) *** that informs teens on the dangers of meth. She has been fighting the disease of addiction since she was 15 years old and she fought HARD! In the end, the disease won but she will not be forgotten.
Ashley is survived by her mother Gigi Prior, step-father Mal Prior and two siblings, Jessica Prior 28y/o and Mal Prior 20y/o. We love her very much and will always have her in our hearts.
*A Celebration of Ashley's life will be held at 3:00PM on Sunday, November 11th upstairs at Whiskey Jacques in Ketchum Idaho, 251 N Main St. with a potluck reception following. Bring your pictures, memories, dancing shoes and a huge smile!
In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been set up at the Wells Fargo Bank under Ashley Prior Memorial Fund.
