Our beloved "Sparkle Her", aka Darcie Olsen, Returned-To-Spirit Wednesday, February 5th , 2014, three days before her 53rd birthday. (February 8, 1961 - February 5, 2014)

She was born in Salt Lake City, Utah to H. Jorgen (Johnny) P. Olsen and Paula Mason Olsen. Darcie was the fourth child and only daughter in the family. She lived and attended school in Bountiful, Utah. She is preceded in death by her brother, Britt Olsen, and her father Johnny (HJP) Olsen.

Darcie is survived by Samuel Kory, her devoted Soul Mate, Husband, Companion, and Friend (Sun Valley). And by her mother Paula Olsen (Salt Lake City), her brothers Tyler P. Olsen of St. Louis, MO, and Cory P. Olsen and Jorgen P. Olsen of Salt Lake City area.

Also left behind are four nephews: Jason Olsen, Shaun Olsen, Jordan Young; Tanner Olsen; and two nieces, Tayler Ann Olsen and CJ Olsen, all from the Salt Lake City area.

Darcie had many places she called home over her life. But she was most passionate about her home and life and friends here in the Wood River Valley, where she domiciled with Sam Kory, as they enjoyed skiing, fishing, hiking, biking, and just being together, in the beautiful outdoors of Idaho.

Darcie had special fondness for the wonderful relationships she had made at the Gold Mine, her devotion and love for the St. Thomas Episcopal Church with Father Ken and his congregation, and friendship with Bishop Evans and his wife Janet of the LDS Church.

Darcie had adventurous careers as an international model, starting in Salt Lake City, then expanding to New York, Japan, and Italy where she appeared on the cover of Vogue Italia. She was a sales executive for several companies; an accomplished business woman in several start-up companies; a Founder and Fund Raiser for a non-profit for “at risk youth" in Utah; and her most recent passion raising environmental awareness and taking action through “EGS”, her recycling business.

In recent years, she expressed her concern locally for the planet through her creative endeavor to gather used animal feed bags from the Valley to re-design and re-manufacture into beautiful, unique, handcrafted bags and accessories, and worldwide by recycling select clothing and fashion accessories over the internet.

Darcie found her greatest happiness in giving of herself to her family, loved ones, friends, and charity organizations. Darcie led her life truly from her Heart with bold creative imagination and passionate effort. She is deeply missed ,,,

Darcie's family and Sam Kory would like to extend our Gratitude and Appreciation to all who offered friendship, support, and Love to Darcie, especially during these last few years when the complexity of her multiple chemical imbalances were difficult, as her beautiful and gentle Soul struggled for Hope and encouragement to continue to endure and sustain its ability to Love and to Live life.
