Life Story for
Jimmy Lou Nisson
Jimmy Lou Nisson, 64, of Bellevue, ID, passed away at St. Luke’s Hospital in Twin Falls, ID on Sunday, August 24, 2014. Jimmy was born on June 7, 1950 in Hailey, ID to Donald Nisson and Dolores Sherbine Nisson.
Jimmy lived near and on Baseline Road throughout his childhood. He enjoyed playing basketball during his younger years and attended Bellevue Elementary and Wood River High School. Jimmy served in the Idaho National Guard from 1968-1974, which during that time he met Jesse Anne Mallory. They married on May 30, 1970 in Hailey, Id. Jimmy and Jesse started their family while living in Baseline Gannett area then purchased the family farm on Baseline Road in 1977, where Jimmy resided at the time of his passing. Jimmy was a self employed farmer and rancher, raising cattle, barley and hay crops along with his loving father Don Nisson as his partner.
Jimmy had a great passion for restoring and selling antiques. He also enjoyed refurbishing and selling vintage hats as well as collecting them. Jimmy and his father recently restored a vintage tractor that he was very proud of.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Bill and Libby Sherbine; and his paternal grandparents Carl and Viola Nisson. Jimmy dearly loved his family and will be missed by each and every one of them. He is survived by his dear parents Donald and Dolores; his loving wife Jesse; son Travis and his wife Kayla and their children Tommy, Blake and Gage; daughter Nicole and her children Soren and Siena; son Ryan; brother Don and his wife Ann; sister Susan Rowland; sister Shelly McAuley and her husband Tracey; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
We will be celebrating Jimmy’s life at11:00am on Friday, August 29, 2014 at St. Charles Catholic Church with Father Justin Brady officiating. A luncheon in the parish hall will follow.
