Lauralee Dustin was born September 14, 1950 in Pocatello, Idaho to Donald and Doris Dustin. Laura was born 2nd of 9 children. Jake (Carolyn) Dustin of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Rebecca Clover of Tucson Arizona, Olie Dustin of Rexburg, Idaho, Don (Julie) Dustin of Fort Hall, Idaho, John Dustin of Pocatello, Idaho, Tom (Rita) Dustin of Pocatello, Idaho, Hans Dustin of Pocatello, Idaho and Dody (Mike) Chatterton of Hailey, Idaho. Also, a lifetime friend/ sister Jeanne Belliston of Burley, Idaho.
Aunt Laura has 153 Nieces and Nephews (including their spouses), multiple cousins, a great friend to everyone she has ever met and a loving teacher of 30 plus years.
She loved her animals. In her lifetime she has had 9 Corgis, and several more all american breeds of dogs, 6 horses and a mule. She enjoyed riding the horses in the mountains with friends. She was very kind to all animals.
Laura attended ISU 1968-1974. Laura started her teaching career in Mullan, Idaho from 1974-1976. She then worked at American Microsystems from 1976-1978. Laura and Jeanne Belliston took teaching jobs in Montezuma Creek at the Navajo Indian reservation from 1978-1981. They both returned to Cassia County to teach in the Cassia County School District from 1981-2011 where they retired.
Laura was a member of the LDS church for her entire life
Laura grew up being very athletic and artistic and enjoyed rock painting and working outside. She was very proud of her independence and proud of the good life that she had made for herself.
Funeral services and interment will be held February 7, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
