Life Story for
Stephanie Kubiak (Ryfinski)
Stephanie Kubiak(Ryfinski) passed away on April 23, 2017 at the age of 91. Stephanie was born in Milwaukee on January 17,1926, grew up in Pewaukee and attended Pewaukee High School. At 18, she moved back to Milwaukee and lived with her sister Gertie, while she attended secretarial school. Stephanie (‘Stevie’ as her friends and family knew her) worked as a secretary for many years. In 1949, Stephanie married the love of her life, Walter “Wally” J. Kubiak. In 1959, Stephanie and Wally welcomed their daughter, Cheryl into the world and shortly thereafter moved out to River Hills and built their house on Larkspur Lane, a home that Stephanie took great pride in. Her real pride and joy however, was her family. Stephanie dearly loved her visits with her grandsons, Billy and Danny, as well as family get togethers at her sister’s home or at her nephew, Dan Fisher’s (Patti) home. In July of 2015 at 89, Stephanie moved out to Idaho to spend her final days with her daughter and grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Kubiak-Kramer(Peter), her two grandsons and sister Gertrude Kingsbury. Stefanie was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Gladys Ryfinski, her husband Walter Kubiak, and her sister Regina Semrad. A private entombment service will be held in June at Holy Cross Cemetery in Milwaukee. Stevie will finally be reunited with Wally after 42 years.
