Life Story for Bonnie Kay Kessler

Bonnie Kay Kessler, age 56, lost her fight with cancer on February 2, 2016 in Hailey, Idaho. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents Willis Earl Carpenter and Carol Carpenter. She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Robby D. Kessler; her children Jessica Collins and Robby M. Kessler (Amy Spinney); her step children Jamie Mathews and Jennie Braley; nine grandchildren; and her siblings Ron Carpenter, Carolyn Tolbert, Doug Carpenter, Debbie Daniel, Jerry Carpenter and Steve Carpenter.

She was born June 25, 1959 in Cass City, Michigan and grew up in Arco, Idaho with her parents and six siblings. She married the love of her life, Robby D. Kessler on April 6, 1984 in Magna, Utah. In 1986 they moved to the Wood River Valley to raise their family. She had a strong love for the Valley and a passion for the great outdoors, spending much of her time hiking, hunting, and rock hounding. She had an amazing spirit and a beautiful personality. Bonnie was one of the most positive people you would ever meet with a sense of humor that would get anyone to smile. Even in her final days she was smiling. She was a fighter and fought long and hard for 15 years against cancer, beating all odds. She was an inspiration to all that knew her.

Her family feels so blessed for the amazing support that her family and friends have provided during this difficult time. Your abundance of love and support is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

In honor of her wishes there will be a Celebration of Life on her birthday June 25, 2016 at the Bellevue park. A memorial fund has been set up at Mountain West Bank under the account Jessica Collins - for Bonnie. Contributions to the memorial fund will be used for memorial and medical expenses.
