Life Story for
Joe W. Ivie
Joe Willis Ivie of Twin Falls, Idaho passed away at the Twin Falls Care Center December 29. He was 70 years old. Joe was born Nov. 10, 1942, in Bellevue, Idaho to Joseph Ivie and Delphene Mathews. He was raised by Joseph Ivie and Nadine (Seal) Ivie. Joe is the second oldest of 7 children 4 brothers and 2 sisters.
Joe grew went to school in Bellevue and Patterson, Idaho and in Lake Town, Utah. He married his first wife Carolyn Early and had one son Roger Early. They were later divorced. He married his second wife Bonnie Hawks, and they had a son, Marvin Ivie.
Joe is survived by his children, Roger Early of Lake Town, Utah and Marvin Ivie of Ontario, California; his mother Nadine Ivie of Ashton, Idaho; his sisters Joy (Mel) Worthington, of Twin Falls, Idaho and Sue (Nick Bigney) of Wallsburg; his sister in law Connie Ivie of Stites, Idaho; his brothers Bill (Connie) Ivie, of Wasilla, Alaska, Mike (Taryn) Ivie of Ashton, Idaho and Gary (Deb) Ivie of Malad, Idaho and several nieces and nephews. Joe was preceded in death by his father Joseph Hyrum Ivie; his birth mother Delphene Mathews; and his brother Ed Ivie.
Joe dabbled in drawing, some poetry, and a few other handicrafts. Joe was a drifter, but he did some work in lumbering around Idaho and Montana and other odd jobs.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, January 9th, at 11:00 am, at the Wood River Chapel, in Hailey, Idaho. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Cemetery,
