Iris F. Jankow, 89, of Hagerman, Idaho, and formerly longtime resident of Ketchum, Idaho, passed away peacefully Sunday July 14, 2019 in Twin Falls, Idaho. Born in Republic, Washington and raised in Wallace, Idaho, as a young woman she moved with her family to Ketchum, Idaho where she met and married Lester Jankow in 1955. Les worked for the city of Ketchum as Marshall for many years. Iris worked for the State of Idaho for more than 30 years.
Iris was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Frankie Lease; husband, Lester Jankow; brothers Jack and Jerry Lease; and longtime friend and companion Paul Sullivan. Iris is survived by her sister Lois (Bill) Werry of Jerome Idaho; nieces Melody Werry of Jerome, Idaho and Michele (Kody) Desouki of Victoria, British Columbia and Susan Werry (Keith Anderson) of Twin Falls, Idaho; and nephew John Lease of Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Iris’s family suggests that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made in her name to a favorite charity or animal shelter.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday July 24, 2019 at the Ketchum Cemetery, Ketchum, Idaho.
