Life Story for Hallidie Hill

Hallidie was born in Seattle, Wash., where she spent the first part of her life. She came to the Wood River Valley in 1971 to begin her wonderful journey for the rest of her life. Being a Seattle resident, she found many friends here already. Her early education began in Spain with her mother and was completed in Seattle, graduating from high school at a reputable private academy for girls, then attending University of Washington.

She was an accomplished artist and worked for a local graphic arts studio. Her passion was for cooking, whether it be preparing great meals at home or working in many restaurants in the valley during the 1970s and ’80s. She had a green thumb and created beautiful gardens with her artistic ability. Her love for dogs and cats was boundless. Her intellect kept her informed about world affairs and she had a true passion for knowledge and history. Her favorite place to be was snuggled in her bed with a book and her cat.

She started her family with the birth of Andy, followed by Caitlin and Jon. She has been the best mom and true friend to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her brother Scott, her mother, Marjorie Osler, and her father, Craig Hill. Surviving are her son Andy Hill and his wife, Jenny; grandchildren, Jacob, Jillian and Vita; daughter, Caitlin Hill; son Jon Wright; brothers, Tom (wife Marilyn) and Craig; and step-mother Martha Hill.
