Nancy Hampton-Nelson
Hailey- Nancy Hampton-Nelsen, 73, of Hailey, passed away Friday September 22, 2017, in Bellevue. She was born March 2, 1944, in Twin Falls, Idaho, the daughter of Walter William Ridley, Jr., and Ruth Ellen Hamby. Nancy was raised in Gooding and Jerome on her parent’s farms. She attended Jerome High School.
Nancy spent most of her working years at Moores Business Forms in Jerome. Her favorite job was decorating cakes for Paul’s Market in Hailey.
Nancy enjoyed working in her beautiful yard, painting and making jewelry. She was an avid decorator and loved to help others with decorating ideas. Mostly she loved spending time with family, especially her daughter and best friend, Betty Shuler, her granddaughter and great-grandchildren. Nancy always maintained a positive attitude and enjoyed making people laugh.
She is survived by her daughter, Betty (Reed) Shuler of Hailey; her granddaughter, Andy (Steven) Hansen of Bellevue; three great-grandchildren, Kade, Josie and Liam; one brother, Larry Ridley; one sister, Shirley (Gary) Hall; two sisters-in-law, Gloria Ridley and Verna Ridley; one brother-in-law, Perry (Barbara) Whetzel; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Nancy is preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Elnora Whetzel; and two brothers, Leonard Ridley and Richard Ridley.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday October 7, 2017, at Calvary Bible Church, 102 Coyote Bluff Drive, Hailey, Idaho, 83333, with Pastor Ron Brown officiating.
