Frank G. “Woody” Jewett III, 78, of Deephaven, Minn., literally took the chairlift to heaven from the Cold Springs chair on March 25, 2019.
A Minnesota native and avid E-scow sailor on Lake Minnetonka, one of Woody’s other favorite activities and places was skiing in Sun Valley. In his 25 years visiting, he made many friends on and off the hill. He died on a gorgeous spring day doing what he loved with people he loved. Our endless thanks to the Sun Valley Ski Patrol, Ketchum EMTs, Wood River Hospice and the St. Luke’s ER staff for their quick, professional and compassionate response. This really is a wonderful community.
Woody is survived by his wife, Kathleen; daughter, Eleanor Jewett (Eric Rogers), and granddaughters Grace and Ryland, of Hailey; son, Kevin Jewett (Carolina) and grandchildren Augie, Charlie and Sophie, of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; and other close friends and relatives. Donations preferred to Wood River Hospice or St. Luke’s Wood River Foundation.
