Obituary for
Kathleen "Casey" Bradford
Kathleen "Casey" Bradford passed away peacefully at her Maui, Hawaii home with hospice care and loving caregivers on May Day, 2012.
She was born October 12, 1951 to Ernest & Mary Ellen Scioneaux in Reserve, Louisiana.
She is survived by her husband, Jeffery Bradford; brothers Ernest Scioneaux, Jr. and Randy Scioneaux; sisters Linda Deroche, Madeline Louque and Eleanor Scioneaux; and her mother Mary Ellen Scioneaux. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Scioneaux, Sr. and sister, Sharon Couty.
After finishing her education she worked in the hotel industries holding positions in New Orleans and San Diego before arriving in Sun Valley, Idaho the winter season of 1977-1978, where she worked for Sun Valley resort the following two years. From 1980-1985 she worked at Tamarack Lodge in Ketchum, Idaho.
In 1985, she met Jeffery Bradford at a Bible study and they married the following August. Shortly after their marriage they moved to Hawaii, settling on the island of Kauai, where they remained full time residents for fourteen years. During that time she worked as a CNA in the home health field, mostly working with elderly clients in their homes. In addition, from 1994-2000, she helped administer the Meals on Wheels program on Kauai.
In 2000, Jeff and Casey purchased a home in Ketchum, Idaho and they began dividing their time between Kauai and Ketchum. She continued working with the elderly in both locations and became actively involved with the Blaine County Senior Center in Hailey, Idaho.
Casey served her church in Hawaii and her church in Hailey, Idaho, the Life Church, serving for many years in the latter as a children's church teacher.
Casey enjoyed gardening, photography, golfing with Jeff, making jewelry, taking weekend trips with girlfriends. A highlight was the annual driving trips with her husband.
Casey will be remembered for her love and commitment to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ and her love for and commitment to her husband, Jeff.
Graveside services are planned for 5:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at the Ketchum Cemetery. Friends are invited to a reception immediately following the graveside rites.
