In 1959, a brother, Bruce (Chrissy) was born.  A brother, Kelly Mark was born in McMinnville, Oregon in 1961. Next came twins, a girl, Dellene (Jeffery), and a boy, Delmar (Jennifer) born in 1964 at McMinnville, Oregon.  There are many Nieces and Nephews from these brothers and sisters, and their spouses.

Barbara met her husband, Frank, in January of 1969, and they were married on April 8, 1969 at Lynwood Chapel, Twin Falls, Idaho. April of this year, 2024 would have been 55 years of Marriage. Barbara had her first child. April Burlson on January 19, 1967 at Newburg, Oregon.  A second child, Shannon, followed on  August 21, 1969.  Their third child, Dorothy, was born  November 15, 1970 at Fall River Mills, California.  Kimberly (Charles) McClure followed on June 14, 1973, at Sun Valley, Idaho.  On  July 12, 1974, at Sun Valley, Idaho, Frank Glahn II was born.  Frank and Barbara later adopted two of April’s children after she was severely injured in a Rollover Accident on Bell Mountain, which killed April’s then-Husband, John Kildare.  These two were Renee, born October 5, 1986 and William, born February 19, 1991. Will later expired  May 21, 2009 at the age of 18 years.

There are 8 Grandchildren, and 13 Great Grandchildren, plus many, many Nieces and Nephews.

When Barbara was growing up, the family followed the Fruit and Vegetable harvests across the United States. As soon as they were able, the children joined their parents in picking these fruits and vegetables, adding to the family funds. A rough life, but one that taught the benefit of a hard day’s work.  After marriage, she continued this example, working as a housekeeper.  She was an accomplished seamstress, making quilts, as well as clothing for her children.  She was also good at making jewelry and “knick-knacks”, selling a few pieces, but giving much of it away to her friends and coworkers.  She also enjoyed painting, either in oil or pastel.  She was a good hunter, and an excellent shot. Not only shooting, but also, preparing the food for the table or the freezer. She ran a game bird processing business for a few years as well, during the game bird seasons. Ducks, Geese, Partridge, Pheasant, and Sage Chickens, as well as the occasional Rabbit were quick work in her hands.  If it was legal to hunt, she would process it!
