I have not seen Hugh recently but when we were members of Canoe Brook we were close. Hugh had a dry sense of humor and in any discussion he was always very honest and sometimes blunt which I always respected. I also recall how pleased with the dog that he adopted in his later years.. Hugh will be missed by all who knew him. Gordon Granger

Hugh has been a wonderful next door neighbor to us for 17 years. We will miss his dry humor, strong opinions and delicious family recipes (which he would NOT share!). He even turned me into an almost dog person with his gentle best friend Hannah. We’re so happy we were able to spend time with you, with proper social distancing, again this summer. Rest In Peace, love and hugs to Phyllis....Karen and Robert
