Life Story for
James Deon Wells passed away July 28, 2018. He was born August 3, 1988 at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base, Jacksonville, NC to David and Julie (Sarrett) Wells.
James was a happy, sensitive little boy. He loved his Matchbox cars, Legos, attending Camp Perkins, and video games. As he got older, James loved to hike and camp. He was an avid rockhound, music lover, impeccable dancer, and just loved hanging out with friends.
James graduated from Wood River High School in 2007. James was an active participant in the Wood River High School Performing Arts Academy. He earned his Eagle Scout designation, the highest rank attainable in the Boy Scouting program. He was a confirmed Christian. After high school, James worked as a DJ for KECH radio and also was the lighting technician at the Nexstage Theater. He spent the last 5 years working for Atkinson’s as a butcher in the Bellevue market.
James was the very proud Godfather of Emilee Logullo.
In his short life time James experienced enormous grief. His father passed away when he was 13, his girlfriend Gabrielle Sanborn to suicide when he was 25 and he lost his high school girlfriend Kayla to a medical issue while he was grieving for Gabbe. James put on a brave face for all around him. He just could not get past the loss of the people he loved. James and his big hugs will greatly missed.
